Top 10 Outdoor Spots in Osaka City 🍀

♥Posted by Aya

Japan has four distinct seasons, with hot and humid summers and snowy colder winters. However, the weather is comfortable in April, May, October and November, and it is recommended to relax outside feeling the wind on holidays.

There are many big parks and shrines in Osaka city, and you can feel a sense of freedom, so I recommend it as a travel destination.

There is also a place where you can spend time eating local Osaka gourmet, so you can enjoy the feeling of Osaka.

This time, I picked up spots in Osaka City with the theme of refreshing.( ノ ゚ー゚)ノ

Relax in the big park!

Osaka Castle Park

Osaka Castle Park is the tourist spot in Osaka. It takes about 2 minutes on foot from Osaka Metro Morinomiya Station.

Osaka Castle is located in the center of the park. There is a park around there, and you can enjoy events and street performances without getting bored.

In the park, there are stone walls and moats which are remnants of the castle. There is a paved promenade around it. Let’s take a walk with a pleasant breeze.♪

There are many benches nearby, so if you get tired, take a good rest and refresh yourself.

If you are hungry, you can go to a restaurant where you can enjoy food and sweets. If you want to eat outside, I recommend Takoyaki and Takosen.(╹ڡ╹ )

There is Osaka Castle Park branch of Wanaka, a famous Takoyaki restaurant in Osaka, so please buy it.

Nakanoshima Park

This is a waterfront park located between the Dojima River and the Tosabori River, and is an oasis in the city. The Osaka Science Museum with a planetarium, stylish cafes and restaurants are located nearby, making it a popular dating spot.

The access is about 3 minutes walk from Kitahama Station of Osaka Metro Midosuji Line.

It is a park with a history that was first established in Osaka City in 1891.

You can see western style houses built at that time such as the Central Public Hall and the Prefectural Nakanoshima Library. The building goes well with rich greenery and is perfect for taking pictures.

In this park, there is a rose garden where about 310 kinds and 3,700 roses bloom, which is perfect for a walk. The roses are seen twice a year, in spring and autumn.✿

The best time to see them is from early May to late May in spring and late October to early November in autumn.

This is also a hidden cherry blossom spot, and the rich nature is also attractive. It is quiet and calm, so I recommend it when you want to stay away from the crowd. There are benches nearby, so it’s nice to enjoy the drinks and Osaka gourmet you bought.♪

In fact, Mt. Tempo in Tempozan Park is recorded as the smallest mountain in Japan. Height above sea level: 4.5 m.

Speaking of the outdoor spot that Osaka is proud of, it is USJ. You can enjoy it all year round, but I recommend spring and autumn. It’s relatively comfortable, so you can go around without stress. It takes about 5 minutes on foot from JR Universal City Station.

It is a world that faithfully reproduces the world of movies, and it is fun just to take pictures and walk around. The Harry Potter area is full of the world view covered with snow all year round. When you walk on the street, you feel like you have become a character in a movie.*★,°*:.☆( ̄▽ ̄)

The park has an open atmosphere and you can enjoy it from morning to evening, so it is perfect for enjoying with friends and lovers. When you ride an attraction, you can smile naturally and refresh yourself!

Sumiyoshi Taisha

This is a shrine, and the precincts are wide and the solemn air flows.

When you go through torii gate, a big vermilion bridge appears. This bridge is called Soribashi, and it is said that there is a blessing just by crossing. It’s especially dangerous when you go down the bridge, so please cross slowly.

There are many things to see in this shrine, but one that is interesting is Omokaru-ishi. This is a stone to tell if your wish will come true.

Omokaru-ishi

First, you hold the stone to check the weight, and after you make a wish, you hold the same stone again. It is said that if the stone feels heavy, “effort is needed to make your wish come true," and if it is light, “your wish will come true.".(●ˇ∀ˇ●)

It’s about 1 minute walk from Nankai Main Line Sumiyoshitaisha Station and it’s easy to access.
